PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in maximizing room sales and revenue.
  2. Prepare guest name lists and coordinate guest arrivals and departures.
  3. Greet and address guests by name during check-in and check-out.
  4. Assist guests with registration, transportation, luggage, and payments.
  5. Escort guests to their rooms and inform Guest Service Attendants of room numbers.
  6. Show room features and facilities to guests.
  7. Follow up on guest requests and inquiries, and recommend hotel F&B outlets and entertainment.
  8. Brief the next shift personnel at shift change.
  9. Provide information and directions according to hotel standards and policies.
  10. Operate the Business Center, handle documents, and ensure prompt delivery of mails and messages.
  11. Be familiar with cashier policies, credit card handling, and foreign exchange procedures.
  12. Control and distribute guest room keys, and follow hotel and company standards and policies.
  13. Report guest feedback or unusual events to management.
  14. Know hotel emergency procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure assigned tasks are completed effectively and timely.
  2. Conduct daily briefings and de-briefings in the absence of supervisors.
  3. Recommend corrective actions for variances and propose staffing adjustments.
  4. Establish effective communication within and across departments.
  5. Prepare business volume and revenue reports.
  6. Attend departmental meetings and manage time effectively.
  7. Handle personnel actions such as leaves, overtime, disciplinary actions, and recognitions.
  8. Identify and resolve problems professionally.

Technical Responsibilities:

  1. Understand all departmental positions and perform required tasks.
  2. Know department policies and guide others accordingly.
  3. Recognize quality products and presentation standards.
  4. Supervise staff activities to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
  5. Assist during peak periods and maintain grooming standards.
  6. Conserve energy and water, and manage waste effectively.
  7. Manage inventory of supplies and understand requisition points.

Commercial Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate effectively with guests, clients, and staff.
  2. Promote the hotel’s image and business as a sales-oriented professional.
  3. Participate in community projects to enhance hotel relations.

Human Resources Responsibilities:

  1. Coach and counsel staff, evaluate performance, and provide training.
  2. Motivate staff and develop personal supervisory skills.

Relationships:

  1. Report to the Unit Manager.
  2. Supervise subordinates and coordinate with related personnel.

Others:

  1. Engage in continuous learning.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned.
