Job Description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Register and process check-in for all arrivals.
2. Handle guest check-outs efficiently and professionally.
3. Update guest information into the computer after a complete check-in.
4. Be accountable for cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audit tasks, and settlement upon guest departure.
5. Handle walk-in counter reservations at all times and process call-in reservations when the room reservations section is closed.
6. Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and respond promptly to all requests and inquiries.
7. Resolve guest complaints/requests and liaise with the concerned department to ensure immediate follow-up.
8. Handle issuance of guest room key cards and ensure effective control for guest security.
9. Check and convey messages, mail, and packages to guests.
10. Assist at the Information counter, Foreign Exchange, Night Audit, and Business Centre as assigned.
11. Have knowledge of hotel rate codes, packages, segmentation, discounts, and handling procedures.
12. Handle safe deposit boxes according to policies and procedures.
13. Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager.
14. Be aware of hotel accident prevention policies.
15. Ensure the cleanliness and neatness of the front office area.
16. Greet all guests upon arrival and departure.
17. Review logbooks, verify outstanding issues, and follow up on pending matters.
18. Monitor hotel occupancy, functions, groups, and VIP arrivals.
19. Communicate relevant information to the next shift for smooth operations.
20. Prepare for daily arrivals, including room allocations, amenities, and special requests.
21. Maintain continuous contact with guests to handle problems or complaints efficiently and courteously.
22. Review and update logbooks.
23. Check equipment functionality.
24. Maintain a professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
25. Oversee daily operations.
26. Report regularly to the Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Manager.
27. Follow fire procedures.
28. Follow first aid procedures.
29. Handle guest complaints and report to the manager.

Qualifications
University Degree in Hotel Management, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role at a star-rated hotel.
