Job Description
  1. Organize and monitor all affairs related to the position.
  2. Manage all aspects of procurement of goods and services for the hotel, working with key internal and external contacts to utilize high-quality materials that achieve value for money within the hotel’s budget.
  3. Work under the supervision of the purchasing chief.
  4. Control the goods received from suppliers regarding quality, price, and compliance with contracts.
  5. Inform the storekeeper if delivered goods do not meet standards or contractual agreements.
  6. Organize the schedule for goods receiving with the storekeeper.
  7. Ensure goods are collected by responsible personnel from the relevant department upon delivery.
  8. Attach purchasing order forms to invoices and follow the goods receiving procedures.
  9. Assist the purchasing chief by conducting market and price research, faxting price research forms to suppliers, and applying purchasing procedures.
  10. Visit and inspect factories and storage facilities of suppliers as needed, together with the purchasing chief.
  11. Assist the cost controller in stock counting on a monthly or bi-weekly basis and prepare cost reports.
  12. Return goods that do not meet Rixos Hotels standards.
  13. Coordinate with the purchasing driver for small or urgent purchases.
  14. Protect the company's interests by selecting only the best quality goods suitable for Rixos standards.
  15. Follow Rixos Hotels’ purchasing procedures.
  16. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff to ensure competence and effectiveness in the role.
Qualifications
