Job Description
- Organize and monitor all affairs related to the position.
- Manage all aspects of procurement of goods and services for the hotel, working with key internal and external contacts to utilize high-quality materials that achieve value for money within the hotel’s budget.
- Work under the supervision of the purchasing chief.
- Control the goods received from suppliers regarding quality, price, and compliance with contracts.
- Inform the storekeeper if delivered goods do not meet standards or contractual agreements.
- Organize the schedule for goods receiving with the storekeeper.
- Ensure goods are collected by responsible personnel from the relevant department upon delivery.
- Attach purchasing order forms to invoices and follow the goods receiving procedures.
- Assist the purchasing chief by conducting market and price research, faxting price research forms to suppliers, and applying purchasing procedures.
- Visit and inspect factories and storage facilities of suppliers as needed, together with the purchasing chief.
- Assist the cost controller in stock counting on a monthly or bi-weekly basis and prepare cost reports.
- Return goods that do not meet Rixos Hotels standards.
- Coordinate with the purchasing driver for small or urgent purchases.
- Protect the company's interests by selecting only the best quality goods suitable for Rixos standards.
- Follow Rixos Hotels’ purchasing procedures.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff to ensure competence and effectiveness in the role.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, with 1-2 years of experience.
