Job description

Real Estate Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. The Real Estate Manager will support the Middle East Real Estate team, part of Amazon's Africa, Middle East & Turkey Operations Real Estate organization.
  2. The Amazon AMET Real Estate team is responsible for the timely completion of property transactions, including acquisitions, renewals, expansions, terminations, and reconfiguration of existing warehouse space in the AMET region.
  3. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple work streams and possesses in-depth knowledge of planning law and warehousing development.
  4. Responsible for the growth and development of the operational network through sourcing new properties throughout AMET.
  5. Manage negotiations with landlords, agents, and lawyers.
  6. Have in-depth knowledge of planning law, development projects, and site assembly.
  7. Report and deliver results to the senior leadership team.
  8. Implement a comprehensive due diligence process.
  9. This is a regional role with a focus on Egypt.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with progressive responsibility in real estate or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA from a reputable university preferred.
  • Experience managing large-scale, project-driven workloads, with reporting to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Market experience within the Middle East and Africa.
  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
  • Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to foster successful partnerships with cross-functional leadership to execute strategic initiatives and develop roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, especially in difficult situations, maintaining team focus and motivation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Specific experience dealing with real estate in Egypt.
