Job summary

Deloitte in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Experienced Associate for Real Estate Audit within Audit & Assurance. The role focuses on auditing real estate developers, assessing financial statements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance to ensure accuracy and reliability.

The candidate will contribute to evaluating revenue recognition, asset valuation, and contract compliance while applying IFRS standards and industry knowledge. Strong English communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA/ACA/CPA preferred.
• 1–2 years of accounting or auditing experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 40.
• Experience auditing complex transactions including revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with real estate development processes and contracts.
• Proficient in audit software and MS Office; data analytics a plus.
• Fluent in English; Arabic/English bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of real estate developers, including financial statement audits.
• Evaluate accuracy of land acquisition, construction costs, revenue recognition, and asset valuation.
• Assess accounting policies for real estate projects (cost capitalization, impairment, fair value).
• Review contracts, JV agreements, leases, and documents for audit risks and compliance.
• Identify and address risks of misstatement and fraud; design procedures.
• Analyze project budgets, costing, and cash flow for integrity.
