Job summary

Deloitte Middle East is seeking a detail‑oriented Real Estate Developer Auditor to join the audit team in the UAE. The role focuses on audits of real estate developers, evaluating land costs, revenue recognition, impairment testing, and asset valuation.

The candidate will use audit software and data analytics, liaise with client management, and stay current with IFRS/GAAP standards and regulatory changes affecting real estate development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in Accounting or Auditing.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards applicable to real estate.
• Experience auditing complex transactions such as revenue recognition and asset valuation.
• Proficiency with audit software and MS Office; data analytics helpful.
• Fluent in English; bilingual Arabic/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of real estate developers, including financial statement audits.
• Evaluate accuracy of land acquisition costs and revenue recognition.
• Assess policies on cost capitalization, impairment testing and fair value.
• Review contracts and joint ventures for audit risk and compliance.
• Identify fraud risks and design procedures to address them.
• Analyze project budgets, costs, and cash flow for integrity.
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Liaise with client management to discuss issues and resolutions.
• Stay updated on IFRS/GAAP and regulatory changes affecting real estate.
• Utilize audit software and data analytics to improve efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement within the audit function.
