We are currently hiring for our client, a leading civil construction company in the UAE.
Job location: Dubai
A rebar engineer is a construction professional who works on projects that involve concrete earthwork piling and rebar. Their responsibilities include:

• Designing reinforcement structures: Rebar engineers use structural engineering software to analyze and calculate the forces, loads, and stresses on reinforced concrete elements. They ensure that the reinforcement design can withstand anticipated loads.
• Determining quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods: Rebar engineers determine the quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods.
• Supervising rebar installation and dismantling: Rebar engineers supervise the installation and dismantling of forms and concreting works.
• Conducting site inspections: Rebar engineers conduct regular site inspections.
• Ensuring materials comply with approved cutting lists: Rebar engineers ensure that materials comply with approved cutting lists.
• Ensuring work meets specifications: Rebar engineers ensure that work meets specifications.

Rebar engineers should have a BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. They should also be computer literate, familiar with Windows operating systems, and able to use Excel spreadsheets effectively.
