An established industry player in hospitality is seeking a skilled massage therapist to provide exceptional massage and body treatments. In this role, you will assess guest needs, maintain a clean and safe environment, and promote spa services. POSITION SUMMARY
Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products. Offer body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before starting services. Keep updated on current techniques and modalities related to the field. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes. Frequently check with guests to promote comfort, safety, and security throughout the service. Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and treatment room, dispose of trash and linens, and secure supplies and equipment at shift end. Monitor and adhere to scheduled times. Handle inappropriate guest behavior following Marriott standards, including stopping treatments if necessary and informing supervisors. Maintain current skills and licensure as per regional requirements.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions. Complete safety training and certifications. Follow all policies and procedures; ensure professional appearance; maintain confidentiality; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, and thank guests sincerely. Communicate professionally. Develop positive relationships with colleagues. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights; perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
