Job summary

AECOM Dubai is seeking a Construction Director to lead the delivery of a major Rail project. You will provide overall leadership and ensure delivery excellence in line with client and company objectives.

The role requires extensive experience in rail enabling works, utilities coordination, and strong commercial acumen to manage contracts, changes and interfaces with authorities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status or professional membership preferred.
• 20+ years of experience in large-scale rail projects.
• Strong commercial and contract management experience.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for rail infrastructure enabling works.
• Lead enabling works for rail corridors, stations, depots, viaducts, bridges, tunnels and related infrastructure.
• Provide technical and construction expertise in relocation, protection, and reinstatement of utilities and infrastructure services.
• Coordinate with authorities and stakeholders for permits, shutdowns, and diversions.
• Oversee development of utility diversion drawings, method statements, and traffic management plans.
• Ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, authority requirements and contract conditions.
