Job summary

The Specialist Physician role with SEHA in Abu Dhabi requires delivering high quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care under the guidance of the Consultant Physician. The post holder contributes to supervision and training of junior medical staff within the Division.

Responsibilities include providing medical coverage, leading ward rounds, coordinating with other services, and participating in audits and research as part of a team-based approach to safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Tier 1: No additional experience required post board certification.
• Tier 2: at least 2 years of clinical experience post qualification in internationally accredited institute.
• Tier 3: at least 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in internationally accredited institute.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the Consultant Physician, diagnose and treat patients.
• Assist in supervising junior medical staff and shared care responsibilities.
• Ensure admissions, consultations, daily patient care, discharge protocols, and follow-ups follow policy.
• Lead ward rounds and reassess inpatients and outpatients regularly.
• Accurately document clinical information in line with procedures.
• Coordinate with other medical specialties and support services as needed.
• Provide on-call coverage out of hours on rotation including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Communicate clinical information to patients and families with consent.
