Xpertfirst International FZ -LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Radiation Protection professional to provide outage coverage and ensure ALARA principles across operations. The role focuses on dose monitoring, survey work, and RWP management in Radiologically Controlled Areas.

Ideal candidates hold an Health Physics degree with 2–5 years in RP and familiarity with NRC/IAEA standards, plus strong English communication skills for reporting and coordination with teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Technology, or a related science field.
• ABHP certification is highly desirable.
• 2–5 years’ experience in a radiation protection role within a relevant industry.
• Familiarity with NRC/IAEA radiation safety standards and regulations.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Responsabilités

• Provide RP job coverage during outage activities.
• Maintain primary circuit valves in reactor building steam generators.
• Perform dose rate contamination and airborne surveys in Radiologically Controlled Areas.
• Prepare, review and control Radiation Work Permits (RWP).
• Monitor personnel dosimetry (EPD/TLD) and apply ALARA principles.
• Control access posting barriers and contamination boundaries.
• Supervise decontamination, radwaste handling and free release of materials.
• Record survey results and report to the RP Supervisor.

• Familiarity with national and international radiation safety standards and regulations (e.g., NRC, IAEA).
