Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi has recently opened a 9-story, state-of-the-art Cancer Center and is seeking top global talent to join our world-class team. This physician position involves applying medical knowledge and skills for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of illnesses within the Oncology Institute – Radiation Oncology specialty at CCAD. The role includes direct patient treatment and/or making referrals to other healthcare professionals at CCAD.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and provide care to patients within the Oncology Institute at CCAD.
  2. Evaluate, prescribe, plan, and execute various radiation treatments as needed.
  3. Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illnesses, diseases, or injuries.
  4. Provide specific treatments and/or perform operations to address patient medical conditions.
  5. Evaluate patients and document notes about their condition for treatment records or referrals.
  6. Collaborate with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient care.
  7. Provide culturally sensitive and appropriate care.
  8. Adhere to approved clinical privileges, policies, and procedures of the Medical Staff.
  9. Apply best standards and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

Operational Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain organizational awareness and foster a patient-focused culture.
  2. Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
  3. Assess, implement, and follow departmental and institutional health and safety policies.
  4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of quality care.
  5. Participate actively in case reviews and quality improvement activities.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Represent the department in medical or administrative committees as requested.
  2. Assist the Chair with administrative functions.
  3. Provide didactic and bedside teaching to trainees as needed.
  4. Develop and participate in research projects and studies.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  1. MD, MBBS, MBChB (specialized from recognized institutions such as the American Board of Medical Specialties or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada) or equivalent qualification, with additional experience as specified based on country tier.
  2. Valid license/registration to practice in the home country or last country of employment.
  3. Meet Maintenance of Certification requirements if applicable.
  4. Proven ability to provide excellent clinical care in radiation oncology.
  5. Effective working relationships with patients and staff.
  6. Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic preferred.
