Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate new patients and create personalized radiation therapy plans based on their specific medical conditions and needs
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cancer care
- Administer radiation therapies and closely monitor patient responses, adjusting treatments as needed for optimal results
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, processes, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in line with healthcare regulations
- Engage in research activities to contribute to advancements in the field of radiation oncology and improve clinical practices
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in radiation therapy to enhance patient care
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology is essential
- Current and valid state medical license
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in radiation oncology preferred
- Expertise in radiation therapy procedures and patient management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and families
- Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus
