About the Client:

A UAE-based company and one of the largest paint manufacturers in the Middle East, offering a wide range of decorative, industrial, marine, powder, and eco-friendly coatings.

Job Description:

• Lead the formulation and enhancement of automotive coatings (e.g., primers, basecoats, clearcoats) for OEM and refinish markets, ensuring high performance, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee laboratory and field testing (e.g., durability, corrosion resistance, weathering) aligned with ASTM, ISO, and customer standards, and manage technical documentation and pilot trials.
• Coordinate with sales, production, QA/QC, and customers to ensure successful scale-up, address complaints, provide technical support, and tailor products to market needs.
• Manage R&D projects, ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations (e.g., REACH, VOC), document all processes accurately, and mentor junior staff on formulation and testing practices.

Qualifications:

• Open to Male; Arabic, Indian & European Nationalities, aged 30 years old and below
• Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Paint Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 7–10 years of experience in R&D for automotive coatings (OEM & refinish), including formulation, testing, and scale-up.
• Strong knowledge of paint systems and proficiency in using lab equipment such as QUV and salt spray testers is required
