Qureos Inc in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Quantity Surveyor (Tendering & Procurement) to manage all aspects of tendering, procurement, and cost control for construction projects.

You will prepare BoQs, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and coordinate with project managers, engineers and suppliers to meet budgets and timelines. Candidates should hold a BEng or BSc, MRICS preferred, with strong knowledge of contracts and excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) specializing in Tendering and Procurement is responsible for managing all aspects of the tendering and procurement process on construction projects. This includes cost estimation preparation of tender documents evaluation of bids and contract negotiation. The QS ensures that procurement activities are executed effectively meeting project timelines budgets and quality standards

Key Responsibilities:

Tendering:

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) cost estimates and detailed tender documentation.
• Issue tender inquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Analyze and evaluate received tenders or quotations.
• Prepare tender reports and recommendations for award.

Procurement:

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with project requirements.
• Source and select subcontractors vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve best value.
• Draft and manage subcontracts and purchase orders.

Cost Management:

• Provide input into budgeting and cost planning during the pre-construction phase.
• Monitor procurement costs to ensure alignment with project budget.
• Advise on commercial risks related to procurement.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Liaise with project managers architects engineers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure clarity and transparency in procurement processes.

Compliance:

• Ensure procurement processes comply with legal and company policy requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of procurement activities.
