Overview

Our client is a large construction company and is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor Tendering with experience in managing all costs relating to projects from the initial calculations to the final figures, with a focus on minimizing costs and delivering value for money while achieving required standards and quality.

Responsibilities

• Review the tenders
• Check specifications
• Read technical data, analyze and takeoff quantities
• Supplier/subcontractor correspondence
• Prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities
• Analyze subcontractors/suppliers quotes and prepare comparative statements
• Attend to post tender correspondences and assist in the preparation of clarifications

Requirements

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• Functional Experience: Expertise in different types of piling, shoring specifications and methodologies
• Basic Knowledge of Contract Conditions: FIDIC and Quantity Surveying
• Professional Experience: 35 years of professional experience in piling
• Languages: Proficiency in English is essential; Arabic is an advantage
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge in AutoCAD and CCS Candy is an advantage
• Skill in operating Project Planning Software is an advantage: Primavera, MS Project, etc.
• Interpersonal Skills: Planning and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
• Strong financial analytical skills with high attention to detail
• High communication skills
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
