Job description

AECOM are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our projects by providing accurate cost estimations managing contracts and optimizing project costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of MEP pre-contract services through concept schematic and detailed design phases inclusive of measurement cost planning and production of BoQs for construction projects.
  • Assist with preparation of tender and contract documents.
  • Assisting in and contributing to value engineering and viability studies.
  • Assist in assessing evaluating and making recommendations related to any financial claim and providing the necessary input with regards to settling such claims.
  • Assist in evaluation all change management including variations additional works field changes additions and omissions and incorporation of the same within the monthly cost reports.
  • Preparing and pricing Change Orders and negotiating agreement with the client and contractor as necessary.
  • Conducting viability studies and cost estimates.
  • Provide assistance to the team during negotiations arbitration or any other forms of dispute resolution.

Qualifications :

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Electrical or Quantity Survey degree
  • 8 years MEP post qualification work experience Middle East experience is preferable.
