Quantity Surveyor - MEP

Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) with a strong background in MEP works to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, contract management, and financial oversight of MEP packages across various projects, ensuring cost efficiency, timely completion, and compliance with industry standards.

The Role:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP systems in coordination with engineering and design teams.
• Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements and potential risks.
• Measure and quantify MEP works using standard methods of measurement.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost plans for MEP works.
• Manage procurement processes for subcontractors and materials.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering.
• Monitor project budgets and advise on any cost-related risks or opportunities.
• Certify subcontractor payments and review change orders and variations.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure cost control and contractual compliance.
• Support in the preparation of project financial reports and forecasts.
• Ensure all cost and contractual documentation is properly maintained.

Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a QS with strong MEP project exposure.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and services.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is an advantage.
