Job summary

A leading consultancy in Sharjah is looking for a Civil Quantity Surveyor to join immediately. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and strong cost management skills. Job description

Job Title: Civil Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an immediate joining Civil Quantity Surveyor with 3 to 5 years of consultancy experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and QS Certifications.
  • Proficient in English and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong cost management and estimating skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
  • UAE Driving License (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Arabic (preferred).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be in UAE.
  • Open to all nationalities.
  • Open to both male and female candidates.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract Stage
  • Attend client meetings and interact directly with clients.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities as per architect and client requirements.
  • Assist in cost analysis for projects.
  • Undertake feasibility studies and establish client requirements.
  • Identify and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Prepare and analyze costing for tenders.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims.
  • Analyze outcomes and prepare progress and cost reports.
  • Maintain awareness of current building contracts and health and safety regulations.
Post Contract Stage
  • Attend site meetings and address client queries.
  • Manage contractual aspects of the main contract, including review of notices, BOQs, and applications for payment.
  • Address technical queries related to project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
  • Review and update the scope of works.
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of change orders and variations.
  • Coordinate data collection to support claims.
  • Facilitate coordination between contractors and departments.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for clients and departments.
