Job summary

A leading company in civil construction is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dubai. The role involves extensive cost management responsibilities, including quantity take-offs, contract administration, and financial reporting. Candidates should possess a degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 5 years' experience in the UAE. Proficiency in industry-standard software is essential. Job description

  • Prepare accurate quantity take-offs based on drawings, specifications, and site measurements.
  • Evaluate, prepare, and negotiate variations and change orders in coordination with the project team.
  • Prepare and certify subcontractor payments, monitor work progress, and verify site measurements.
  • Support the preparation of interim valuations, final accounts, and cost-related documentation.
  • Assist in contract administration, ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all contractual and financial correspondence.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to track cost-related activities.
  • Support in preparing and submitting cost-related reports to management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, project specifications, and relevant UAE/GCC regulations.


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil construction projects within the UAE/GCC.
  • Hands-on experience in infrastructure, buildings, or mixed-use projects in the region.
  • Proven expertise in quantity take-offs, variation analysis, and subcontractor payments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CCS Candy, Cubit, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC preferred) and cost control processes.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Must be locally available and ready to join immediately.
