Job summary

fäm Properties Dubai is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (Post-Contract) to oversee commercial control of projects from award through completion in a fast-paced interior contracting environment.

You will assist with cost estimates, interim valuations, variations, and final accounts, while ensuring accurate cost reporting and smooth handover from pre-contract to post-award stages. Procore knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4–7 years experience in fit-out / interior contracting.
• Basic estimation and cost planning capability is preferred; experience with variations, final accounts, and subcontractor payments.

Responsibilities

• Handle and support commercial and cost control aspects from project award to completion.
• Prepare and certify interim valuations, progress payments, and payment recommendations.
• Assess, price, and substantiate variations and claims.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and support final account closure.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Coordinate closely with the design team, project managers, procurement, and site teams.
• Prepare and review basic cost estimates and project budgets for upcoming works.
• Review BOQs, drawings, and specifications for pricing accuracy.
• Support procurement during tender clarifications and commercial evaluations.
• Assist with cost benchmarking and rate analysis.
• Ensure smooth commercial handover from pre-contract to post-award stages.

Job description

The role is primarily post-contract focused, responsible for handling and supporting commercial control of projects during execution. It is preferable if the candidate is capable of basic estimation and budget preparation to support pre-contract activities and ensure commercial continuity from tender to award.

Key Responsibilities:

Post-Contract (Core Focus):
