Job summary

IIQAF in Dubai is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects. You will handle budgeting, cost control, tendering, and contract administration, ensuring financial targets are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in QS/Construction Management/Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts procurement and cost control techniques.
  • Proficiency with CostX and Bluebeam or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates budgets and tender documentation.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering throughout project phases.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures to minimize financial risks.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate contracts.
  • Track variations and change orders ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Collaborate with project managers engineers and clients to align financial objectives.
  • Prepare interim and final payment certificates in accordance with contract terms.
  • Maintain knowledge of construction costs market trends and regulations.
  • Assist in dispute resolution and claims management as required.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our esteemed construction firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This position requires an individual who can expertly navigate through the complexities of project costing procurement and contract administration. As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for providing advice and support throughout the project lifecycle ensuring that budgets are adhered to and that financial targets are met.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates budgets and tender documentation.

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts procurement methods and cost control techniques.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software such as CostX Bluebeam or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws regulations and building codes.
  • Professional certification (e.g. RICS CIQS) is a plus.
