Job summary

Euro Mechanical, Abu Dhabi-based, seeks a Quantity Surveyor for its onshore oil and gas EPC team. You will manage quantity surveying, cost control, contract administration and progress measurement, reporting to the Planning & Project Control Manager and working closely with the Project Manager.

You should have 5+ years in EPC quantity surveying (3+ years in Oil & Gas), with ADNOC standards knowledge, and multi-discipline project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in QS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years QS experience in EPC, 3+ years in Oil & Gas.
• Experience in quantity take-off, verification, cost control, progress measurement.
• ADNOC standards knowledge and hands-on ADNOC site exposure.
• Experience across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom.
• Proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, Primavera P6.
• Strong contract interpretation and variation management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and stakeholder skills.
• Be part of 50 years UAE oil and gas delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings, specs and documents.
• Verify quantities across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom.
• Prepare Quantity Measurement Sheets and obtain approvals.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and support forecasts and EAC.
• Work with Planning Engineers on progress measurement and EV reporting.
• Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts submissions.
• Verify subcontractor progress for monthly valuations.
• Evaluate variation orders and prepare commercial assessments.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams on commercial and progress matters.

About the job

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our EPC team on multi-discipline onshore oil and gas projects. You will look after quantity surveying, cost control, contract administration and progress measurement. You will report to the Planning & Project Control Manager and work closely with the Project Manager.

What you will do

• Prepare quantity take-offs from approved drawings, specifications and engineering documents
• Verify executed quantities across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom works
• Prepare Quantity Measurement Sheets and obtain stakeholder verification and approval
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets, identify variances and support cost forecasts and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
• Work with Planning Engineers on monthly progress measurement and earned value reporting
• Prepare interim payment applications and final account submissions
• Verify subcontractor progress for monthly valuations
• Evaluate variation orders, change requests and compensation events, and prepare commercial assessments for additional works
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams on commercial and progress matters

What you will bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience in EPC projects, with at least 3 years in Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Proven experience in quantity take-off, quantity verification, cost control, progress measurement, interim valuations, final accounts and variation management
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC quantity surveying, contract administration and measurement standards and hands-on ADNOC site experience
• Experience in multi-discipline projects covering Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom works
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD and Primavera P6
• Strong understanding of contract interpretation, variation assessment, claims support and commercial management
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
