Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Pipeline QS to oversee pipeline activities, ensuring cost and risk management efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel is essential. This position is full-time, located on-site, and does not offer remote work options. Applicants with EPC project experience, especially in ADNOC projects, will be preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Senior Pipeline QS with expertise in pipeline activities collaborating closely with Field Engineering Procurement Cost Control Construction and Contracts teams to manage quantity and cost control workflows.
• Skilled in identifying project risks based on contract documents schedules and deliverables ensuring minimal cost and schedule impacts.
• Proficient in submitting fortnightly risk reports and mitigation plans aligned with EPC/Contractor performance.
• Experienced in developing strategic plans and advising management on cost-controlled solutions for claims raised by contractors while cross-checking MTOs with AFC drawings to update procurement needs.
• Strong knowledge of project design methods construction monitoring and lifecycle planning from quantity and material scheduling to coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (piping mechanical civil E&I).
• Hands‑on experience with tie‑ins pre‑shutdown and shutdown activities including material requisition packages.
• Adept in field change approvals (FCN DCN) site variations test pack verifications and as-built requirements.
• Well‑versed in Installation Work Packages (IWP) and Workface Planning (WFP) to implement Advanced Work Package (AWP) methodology ensuring milestone‑based execution.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for controlling the materials.
• Ability to reconcile the materials released to sub‑contractor.
• Proficiency on AutoCAD for reading alignment sheets drawings and baseline knowledge of related pipeline design.
