Job summary

WSP in the Middle East seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Supervision team in Dubai. You will support commercial management of projects through cost control, contract administration, valuations and reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, 7–10 years of experience on building projects, strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, Excel, and cost reporting, with UAE/GCC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience on building projects.
• Working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and standard forms of contract.
• Experience with measurements, valuations and cost reporting.
• UAE or GCC experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Measure and value construction works for payment certification.
• Review contractor applications for payment.
• Assist in evaluating variations and contractual claims.
• Prepare cost reports and commercial summaries.
• Maintain records of site instructions, variation orders, and commercial correspondence.
• Support the preparation of final accounts.
• Review Bills of Quantities and contract documentation.
• Participate in site inspections and commercial meetings.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
• Assist senior commercial staff with contract administration duties.
