Quantitative Investment Associate | Hedge Fund

Our hedge fund offers institutional investors access to systematic trading strategies in digital assets, including market-neutral and CTA-style approaches (across USD and BTC share classes).

Role Overview

The Quantitative Investment Associate will work closely with the Portfolio Manager to support the management of a range of strategies and portfolios across both digital assets (hedge fund crypto trading strategies) and traditional markets (bespoke managed accounts in equities, bonds, and ETFs for institutional and HNWI clients). The role encompasses research, execution analysis, risk monitoring, reporting, and strategy development. It is a hands-on, multi-asset position ideal for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and ambitious individual eager to operate across diverse asset classes in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

We are seeking candidates with proven quantitative research experience and a strong understanding of systematic strategies across digital assets, global equities, ETFs, futures, currencies, and options.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative research to support strategy development across traditional and digital asset classes.
• Assist in portfolio construction, backtesting, signal validation, optimization, and real-time monitoring.
• Develop and maintain analytics tools for performance, risk, exposure, and funding analysis.
• Monitor daily P&L, NAV estimates, leverage, margin usage, and drawdowns across strategies.
• Perform macroeconomic, sector, and DeFi-related research to inform investment decisions.
• Prepare investment committee reports and trade rationales.
• Support due diligence on new trading venues, DeFi protocols, liquidity providers, and custodians.
• Collaborate with the IT team to automate workflows (e.g., reconciliation scripts, data ingestion).
• Coordinate with operations and fund administrators on settlements, reconciliations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in quantitative research or development within a hedge fund, prop desk, family office, or asset manager.
• Strong grasp of systematic trading and portfolio management techniques.
• Exposure to or strong interest in digital assets, DeFi, and crypto trading infrastructure.
• Advanced Excel skills; Python and SQL proficiency strongly preferred.
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to manage multiple workstreams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
• CFA or CAIA designation (or candidate) is a plus.
• Fluency in English. Other languages are a plus.
