Job description

My client is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager, operating across all liquid asset classes worldwide. They are a technology and data-driven group that applies a scientific approach to investing. The Role:

  • You will work within a trading desk, building analysis tools and infrastructure used by the desk to support investment decisions, directly impacting the desk's success.
  • You will be a key member of a Quant Dev team, working closely with Quant Researchers and Quant Traders.
  • The role involves touching many aspects of Event Driven trading, utilizing index data, M&A data, risk models, and other event-driven data from various sources. You will handle data management across numerous sources and dimensions, and develop analytics infrastructure.
  • You will have opportunities to solve challenging technical problems critical to the desk's performance.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience with the latest Python libraries: numpy, pandas, polars, dask, etc.
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills.
  • A good understanding of underlying system workings—CPU, memory, OS, network, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to take full ownership of projects, from conception to delivery.
  • Good communication skills in a dynamic environment.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in a quantitative trading environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial markets trading is a plus.
