Zusammenfassung

Petrofac is seeking an Inspector I - Quality (Welding / Coating) to monitor fabrication and coating operations for process piping, structures, tanks and vessels. You will witness welder qualifications, ensure material traceability, and enforce welding and coating procedures across projects.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years in Welding/Piping QC and painting/coating inspections in oil & gas environments.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• CSWP 3.1 or AWS CWI qualification for Welding inspection.
• BGAS Gr-II or NACE Level II for Painting/Coating Inspector.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as Welding/Piping/Pipeline QC Inspector & Painting/Coating Inspector.
• Experience in oil & gas/petrochemical industries.
• Experience with major EPC contractors or their subcontractors.

Aufgaben

• Monitor and report fabrication, installation, erection and testing of piping, structures, tanks and vessels.
• Witness welder qualifications and ensure materials, traceability and storage comply with specs.
• Inspect coatings, perform visual and dimensional checks, and monitor film thickness and curing.
• Review welding procedures, PQRs, weld maps and PWHT records per project specs.
• Ensure equipment calibration, weather and environmental conditions meet standards.
• Prepare and review inspection reports and ensure contractor qualifications are valid.
