Job summary

TALENT ONE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES is seeking a highly experienced QC Inspector for welding, piping, and coating activities in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with project specifications, ITPs and industry standards, and you will oversee inspection across fabrication, erection, and testing.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI and coating certifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI Welding.
• BGAS Grade II or NACE Level II Coating/Painting.
• Minimum 10 years experience in Welding/Piping/Pipeline QC and Painting/Coating inspection.
• Oil & Gas/Petrochemical experience mandatory.
• Experience with major EPC contractors or their subcontractors preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, inspection standards and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fabrication, installation, erection and testing of process piping.
• Review WPS/PQR weld maps and welding documentation; witness welder qualification tests.
• Verify material traceability welding consumable control storage and handling.
• Inspect fit-up welding parameters dimensional accuracy and final visual quality.
• Monitor welding equipment calibration PWHT records and contractor compliance.
• Prepare/review fit-up, visual inspection and daily welding reports.
• Inspect surface preparation, blasting, coating application and curing.
• Verify coating materials batch traceability storage applicator qualifications and equipment calibration.
• Witness required coating tests including holiday detection adhesion and thickness testing.
• Identify defects/non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Job description

Responsible for quality inspection of welding piping fabrication erection and coating activities ensuring compliance with approved procedures project specifications ITPs and applicable industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
