Overview

We are looking for a proactive Quality and Safety Engineer to ensure compliance with aviation regulations, manage quality and safety systems, and support continuous improvement. This is a full time job with our customer based in Dubai.

Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Assist in monitoring regulatory changes (UAE, Europe, USA, China) and assess their impact.
  • Quality System Management: Assist in tracking corrective actions and collaborate with Post Holders and the Managers to ensure resolution.
  • Quality System Management: Assist in managing training records and maintain compliance.
  • Quality System Management: Assist in completing customer evaluation questionnaires and provide required approvals.
  • Quality System Management: Assist in investigating root causes of non-conformances and implement solutions.
  • Auditing and Training: Assist in conducting internal audits and support external audits.
  • Auditing and Training: Assist in identifying training needs and coordinate with external providers.
  • Personnel Qualifications: Assist in monitoring qualification expiry dates and prepare files for initial or renewal validations.
  • Safety Management: Assist in implementing Safety Management System (SMS) changes as per Part 145.
  • Safety Management: Assist in performing risk assessments and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
  • Safety Management: Assist in promoting compliance with safety and quality standards.
Profile / Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline. Advanced training or certification in Aviation Quality / Safety Management (e.g., EASA / FAA Part-145 training) is highly desirable.
  • Regulatory & Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of EASA / FAA Part-145 regulations and associated requirements for aircraft maintenance and repair organizations. Familiarity with SMS (Safety Management Systems) and aviation quality management principles (e.g., ICAO Annex 19). Knowledge of AS9110 / ISO 9001 or similar quality management system standards.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Part-145 MRO environment (ideally in engine nacelle repair, component overhaul, or similar). Proven track record in supporting regulatory compliance and audits. Managing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Conducting root cause analysis and implementing process improvements.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills (e.g., 5-Whys, Ishikawa / Fishbone). Experience in risk assessments and mitigation planning. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with maintenance tracking systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, procedures, and audit documentation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments. Flexibility and adaptability to changing regulatory requirements and operational priorities.
