Job summary

KBR is seeking a Quality Manager for an offshore subsea project in Abu Dhabi. You will develop and manage the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) to ensure all activities meet ADNOC requirements, international standards, and contractual obligations.

Lead the QA/QC teams, vendors, and inspection agencies to deliver a safe, reliable offshore facility. Oversee audits, NCRs, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading QA/QC for offshore oil and gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of PQMS, ITPs, and QA procedures.
• Experience with ADNOC or similar regulatory standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PQMS aligned with ADNOC standards.
• Lead QA/QC activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Maintain inspection records and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Manage supplier quality surveillance and audits.

Job Title: Quality Manager KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi.

Job Purpose

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) for ADNOC Offshore projects. The role ensures that all engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover activities comply with ADNOC requirements, project specifications, contractual obligations, international standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Manager provides leadership to project QA/QC teams, contractors, suppliers, and inspection agencies to ensure delivery of a safe, reliable, and high-quality offshore facility.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management Leadership

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) in alignment with ADNOC standards and project requirements.
• Establish project quality objectives, KPIs, procedures, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Lead and manage all QA/QC activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure quality requirements are effectively integrated into engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement across project teams.

Quality Assurance (QA)

• Develop, review, and approve Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Procedures, and Method Statements.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC specifications, international standards, and contractual quality requirements.
• Monitor contractor and supplier Quality Management Systems.
• Conduct project quality audits and assessments.
• Verify implementation of lessons learned and best practices.

Quality Control (QC)

• Oversee inspection and testing activities during:
  • Engineering
  • Procurement
  • Fabrication
  • Construction
  • Offshore Installation
  • Pre-commissioning
  • Commissioning
• Ensure all inspection and test records are properly maintained and documented.
• Review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Verify effective close-out of quality issues.

Vendor & Supplier Quality Management

• Manage supplier quality surveillance and inspection activities.
• Review and approve vendor quality documents and manufacturing quality plans.
• Conduct supplier audits and qualification assessments.
• Monitor vendor performance and quality compliance.
• Coordinate third-party inspection agencies and expediting teams.

Construction & Offshore Quality Management

• Monitor fabrication yards, module assembly facilities, and offshore installation activities.
• Ensure welding, NDT, coating, mechanical completion, and testing activities comply with approved procedures.
• Verify construction quality records and turnover dossiers.
• Support offshore hook-up, tie-in, and commissioning activities.

Quality Audits & Compliance

• Develop and execute audit schedules for contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Lead internal and external quality audits.
• Coordinate ADNOC quality audits and technical assessments.
