Job Description

• Perform comprehensive inspections of welded components to ensure adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Interpret and review welding blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine quality requirements.
• Utilize various inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, ultrasonic testers, and hardness testers, to conduct precise measurements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality control standards, such as AWS (American Welding Society), ISO 9001, and ASME.
• Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformities; collaborate with the production team to implement effective corrective actions.
• Conduct both destructive and non-destructive testing (e.g., ultrasonic testing, X-ray, dye penetrant testing) as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and non-conformance reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols within the workshop environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes, quality, and productivity.
• Collaborate with management to resolve quality issues and support project requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection within a welding workshop or manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials, and industry standards (e.g., AWS, ISO 9001, ASME).
• Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CWI - Certified Welding Inspector) is preferred.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and standards.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
