Under the responsibility of the Project Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will be involved in the planning and implementation of the surveillance program on vendors within the project scope:
- Ensure that vendors within the AGUP Phase 2 scope—including company long-lead item suppliers and EPC contractors' supply chains—meet project quality objectives and requirements through an effective company-led surveillance process, within the agreed surveillance budget.
- Ensure that surveillance activities conducted by EPC contractors on their supply chains within the packages comply with contractual obligations and support the achievement of the project’s quality objectives.
- Participate, as required, in audits, meetings, quality inspections, or visits at vendors or contractors’ premises throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist the Quality Manager in implementing the Quality Management System within the project:
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and updates of the Project Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring its effective implementation through internal audits.
- Provide guidance and support to the project team on quality-related matters, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Participate in the feedback/lessons learned process and vendor performance evaluation.
- Demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding H3SE rules and requirements and ensure their implementation within scope.
Job Responsibilities :
- Implement H3SE rules within your area of responsibility, comply with HSE training requirements, promote safety culture, and ensure safe quality inspections.
- Enforce and support the Project Quality Management System, promoting the Project Quality Policy and Objectives.
- Support the Project Quality Manager in developing specific plans and procedures to adapt the QMS as needed.
- Assist in implementing the internal/external audit program.
- Maintain quality activity monitoring registers and indicators.
- Coordinate with the package Quality lead to define and adapt the surveillance program covering EPC contractor suppliers’ activities.
- Review EPC contractors’ surveillance and QA/QC procedures for contractual compliance.
- Contribute to feedback and lessons learned, especially regarding vendor performance.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Certification in QC methods (e.g., NDT, Coating) is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years in Oil and Gas projects, with experience in quality roles (inspection, coordination).
- At least 5 years in surveillance/inspection coordination within O&G projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and assurance procedures.
- Ability to lead audits, inspections, and manage non-conformance processes.
- Knowledge of QC, manufacturing, and fabrication methods.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
