A leading company in the automotive industry is seeking a Senior Mechanic/Team Lead for heavy commercial vehicles in Dubai. The role focuses on quality control, monitoring operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in this field along with an ITI/Diploma qualification.

Qualifications

  • 5-6 years in heavy commercial vehicle as Senior Mechanic/Team Lead.
  • DL preferable for the role.

  • Inspect repair orders and monitor operations.
  • Investigate and correct customer complaints regarding quality.

Job description

Purpose of the Job:

Provide excellent quality service to ensure satisfaction is delivered consistently while following company’s vision.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinate these objectives with other managers.
  • Tests the vehicle identified by the Deputy Workshop Manager, after ensuring that the vehicle registration is valid, and that the related Registration Card is present in the vehicle.
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to formulate dealership standards.
  • Minimize comebacks by conducting periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Investigate and correct customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Informs the Deputy Workshop Manager of repetitive incidents and events identified on the same model.
  • Inspect all recently purchased and comeback vehicles to ensure proper correction and condition of vehicle.
  • In case of nonconformity, return the car to the Mechanic/Electro-Mechanical Technician, and inform the Deputy Workshop Manager and Time Controller. Perform the test again, after the nonconformance is rectified.
  • Inspect all repair orders and ensure that they include complete documentation and that proper warranty procedures have been followed.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
  • Indicates to the Deputy Workshop Manager the personnel several times involved in workmanship defects.
  • Responsible for effective coverage of the assigned territory.
  • Comply and implement the local laws and client’s requirements related to QHSEMS aspects at workplace, as per the bestowed authority and responsibility.
  • Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by line manager.

DL preferable

Knowledge & Skills

Fluent in English; Arabic an advantage.
