Job Description
  1. Ensure proper testing of raw materials, online products of sheet line, and thermoforming, with on-time dispatch of finished products, adhering to standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality plans. Maintain discipline in the factory and coordinate with staff and workers regarding housekeeping to control cleanliness.
  2. Report any non-compliance to the operator and Head of QA/QC.
  3. Devise sampling procedures and instructions for recording and reporting quality data.
  4. Conduct testing and inspection of final products.
  5. Calibrate all equipment used in QC and labs as per plan.
  6. Control the quality of PET sheets, thermoforming, preforms, and printing as per customer requirements.
  7. Perform tests on products such as clarity, thickness variation, visual inspection, and weight during production.
  8. Check samples for abnormalities; if observed, quarantine or reject the lot.
  9. Control packaging quality; liaise with suppliers if abnormalities are observed.
  10. Maintain all quality records systematically.
  11. Perform any other jobs assigned by management.
Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification: Minimum Science Graduate/Diploma, preferably BSc.

Experience: Minimum 3 years, preferably in the same industry. Minimum 1 year if a Chemist in Polymer & Petrochemical sectors.

Skills:

  1. Knowledge of applicable standards related to ISO requirements.
  2. Ability to train relevant personnel.
  3. Excellent writing and communication skills.
  4. Effective planning and management of testing, calibration, and record maintenance activities.
  5. Ability to liaise with external agencies such as calibration, consultancy, and certification bodies.
