Job summary

SGS is seeking Quality Control Inspectors (QCI) for E&I Compex projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves organizing and executing inspection jobs on site while ensuring compliance with quality standards and approved plans.

Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in the Oil and Gas construction sector, with an Engineering degree or equivalent. Electrical certifications such as ATEX and CompEx are mandatory.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction sector.
• Electrical certifications (ATEX, CompEx, etc.) mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Execute specific inspections on materials and construction activities.
• Issue non-conformance reports to QC Supervisor when necessary.
• Verify compliance with the Quality Control Plan.
• Ensure implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Perform visual inspections and dimensional tests.

Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Executethe specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issuethe relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writeand sendto QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
• Checkpower transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system, Remote terminal unit, instruments, cables, tunings etc.
• Performvisual inspections, dimensional test, checkrating and material for connection.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant experiencein Oil and Gas construction sector.
• Previous Saudi Aramco / ADNOC approvals Preferable but not mandatory
• Electrical certifications ( ATEX , CompEx, Etc., ) mandatory
• Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes that will be used during QC surveillance activities in onshore and offshore fabrication/ Construction/ EPCprojects.
