Job Summary
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all construction and site activities comply with project specifications, standards, and contractual requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, maintaining quality documentation, coordinating with project teams, and supporting corrective and preventive actions to maintain high-quality standards across all works, including irrigation, soft and hard landscaping, and related construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Quality Control:
- Conduct inspections to ensure work is performed according to contract specifications.
- Inspect installation of irrigation systems, soft landscaping, and hard landscaping works.
- Perform daily inspections and tests to ensure quality of construction as per drawings and specifications, both on-site and off-site.
- Verify that all site activities follow approved method statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
- Document project progress by taking daily photographs and maintaining organized records.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain and update all QA/QC documentation, including certificates, calibration reports, test results, inspection requests, NCRs, and site instructions/observations.
- Prepare and submit inspection reports to the QA/QC Manager or Quality In-Charge.
- Ensure timely closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Site Observation Reports (SOR).
- Coordination & Compliance:
- Coordinate with consultants, project managers, and department in-charge regarding quality issues and inspections.
- Participate in internal and external audits, including ISO audits.
- Collaborate with production engineers and other departments to analyze issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Update job knowledge by attending training programs, reading technical publications, and participating in educational opportunities.
- Actively contribute to achieving quality department goals and organizational objectives.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support colleagues and project requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality inspection or quality improvement, preferably in construction or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of quality standards, with preference given to ISO standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in maintaining QA/QC documentation and using Microsoft Office
