Job Overview:

The QA/QC Engineer (Civil) is responsible for ensuring the quality of all civil works and materials used on-site. This role involves inspecting project deliverables, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, construction drawings, and applicable standards. Play a key role in maintaining quality control documentation, coordinating with site teams, and implementing corrective/preventive actions when non-conformities arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with local regulations and international standards. Monitor and ensure adherence to quality procedures and guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections of construction material, workmanship, and installations to verify compliance with the project specifications. Coordinate and oversee testing activities to ensure materials meet the required standards.
• Document Control: Establish and maintain a robust document control system for project-related documents, including drawings, specifications, and quality records. Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Quality Audits: Plan and conduct regular internal and external quality audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure continuous compliance with quality standards. Collaborate with project teams to address and resolve any non-conformities.
• Supplier and subcontractor Management: Evaluate and qualify suppliers and subcontractors based on their ability to meet quality requirements. Monitor the performance of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they adhere to specified quality standards.
• Training and Awareness: Provide training to project team members on quality procedures, standards, and best practices. Foster a quality-conscious culture by promoting awareness and understanding of quality requirements among all the project stakeholders.
• Non-Conformance Resolution: Investigate and analyze non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Quality Reporting: Prepare and review method statements, material submittals, work inspections, and materials inspections.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on local regulations and building codes relevant to construction industry in Dubai. Ensure that the project complies with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of QAQC experience in GCC.
