Job description

Job Description:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Controller to join our team and oversee the quality of all raw materials/products that are being delivered across the location by Supply Chain before delivery.

The Quality Assurance Controller's responsibilities are to follow the company's quality standards, conduct the raw material inspection, and identify issues related to the agreed Brand of products to be delivered on location, This will apply for onshore and offshore locations.

Ultimately, the QAC will work with a team to ensure our final products meet our organization’s standards across the board.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed
  • Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors
  • Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports
  • Make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Controller or similar role in a major catering establishment
  • Working knowledge, methods, and concepts of quality assurance in raw food materials such as Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, Frozen, Dry, Dairy products, poultry, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Assurance Specialist

Tasks:

  • Analyse possible reasons for product defects and quality lapses.
  • Analyse possible reasons for process deviations and for product defects and quality lapses.
  • Inspect materials, products, and packaging before dispatch at locations.
  • Maintain product and process quality metric reports.
  • Develop visual sampling plans for quality control purposes
  • Lead traceability investigations on the source of quality lapses and other product issues.
  • Oversee corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) implementation and documentation with other departments/locations.
  • Verify quality control (QC) records from regulatory authorities for all products/materials.

Experience:

3 to 5 Years in a Major Catering Establishment and Supply Chain.
