Qualifications

• Mindestens 4 Jahre Erfahrung in der Qualitätsprüfung in der Fertigung.
• Erfahrung mit ISO-Managementsystemen, insbesondere ISO 9001 und 14001.

Responsibilities

Job description

Your role

Saab are looking to expand our team with a Senior Quality Engineer to support our fast-paced growth. The main focus for this position will be to support both Engineering and Production departments during the assembly, integration, test and verification of both development and production products, ensuring that requirements are fulfilled and that business operations are continuously improving.

Specific responsibilities of the Senior Quality Engineer are:

• To support that the Management System is established, documented, implemented and maintained in accordance with the quality policy, international standards (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001), customer requirements and requirements from authorities and other stakeholders.
• Provide quality assurance support during the development phase of projects to ensure they are executed following Saab’s procedures, customer requirements and the requirements of the ISO Management System standards.
• Develop work instructions, protocols and records for quality assurance activities.
• Perform verification of purchased product for received goods including electrical and mechanical assemblies and cables harnesses.
• Support the Sourcing and Production department with supplier audits and perform product inspection at supplier’s premises.
• Assist Engineering and Sourcing and Production departments with the capturing of non-conformance reports.
• Work with multifunctional teams to create and maintain processes, procedures and work instructions required to support the quality system.
• Coordinate and document the interested parties analysis.
• Support the Sourcing and Production department with supplier audits and evaluations.
• Implement and maintain quality processes, procedures and work instructions within the production facility in coordination with the Sourcing and Production department.
• Assist the Head of Quality and Environment with the audits of the production and development laboratory operations.

Experience & Skills

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience in Quality Engineering, proven experience of working within development and manufacturing organizations, high level of experience with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 quality systems and audits. Experience within the defence or aerospace industry is an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices, specifically related to a design, development and production environment.
• Experience in creating work instructions, processes and template documentation required to support the quality system.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sound leadership qualities and demonstrated good judgment.
• Experience with both ISO 9001 and 14001 within a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and with other departments.
• You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word.
• Driver’s license.

This position requires that you undergo a security screening in accordance with the Saab internal processes.
