About the Job:

The QHSSE coordinator is responsible for the implementation and execution of region specific QHSSE standards and processes for the regional / branch applicable management system, ensuring alignment with project execution for both land- and sea-based operations in the region or branch. This role involves actively advising the regional business on improving QHSSE performance in accordance with applicable standards, corporate guidelines, local legislation, and client requirements, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor, review, update, implement, and report on all QHSSE aspects which include the promotion of the ROMS documentation and QHSSE maturity throughout the respective region or branch.
  • Assist in driving local QHSSE improvement initiatives, report on KPIs to the local management and Global QHSSE Manager – Land.
  • Provide QHSSE consultancy support / advice to all staff (e.g. by assisting in the preparation / localization of (Q)HSSE and Emergency Response Plans, attendance and contribution to health and safety meetings at site and branch level.
  • Liaise with Commercial and Project Management department and attend meetings as instructed.
  • Contribute to and develop appropriate QHSSE initiatives as required by the Global QHSSE Manager – Land.
  • Ensure that the QHSSE and other required training needs of all site or branch staff are identified and addressed, while supporting the regional line management in the preparation and execution where possible.
  • Plan and conduct site inspections, coach local management in performing inspections and leadership visits, and provide advice where needed to enhance work methods while ensuring compliance with the regulations and company procedures.
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on QHSSE related internal and external project and regional / branch audits.
  • Act as QHSSE project lead and provide support in different stages projects (e.g., prequalification, contract review, client engagement, project kick-off, execution & close-out).
  • Review project and region / branch specific QHSSE events and audit reports, define corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with relevant staff, coordinate reporting and present findings for analysis with local management and Global QHSSE Manager – Land.
  • Ensure that required QHSSE reports are properly documented and managed in the established QHSSE system and maintain the respective legal registers.
  • Identify and communicate region or branch specific legislative changes, ensuring their implementation an effective and compliant Management System.
  • Monitor project and regional / branch (QHSSE) reports and analyze the trends.
  • Prepare and carry out relevant regional / branch QHSSE review meetings.
  • Timely issuance of required data for regional / branch QHSSE performance reporting.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned by manager or supervisor

Your qualifications

  • Intermediate Vocational Education (Safety and Security Management) or equivalent (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate)
  • 5+ years relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Practical mindset with growth potential.
  • Willingness to travel abroad.
  • Interest and knowledge in sustainability.
  • Fluent in English (both verbally and in writing).
  • GCC experience
