Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced QHSE & Training Manager to lead and oversee the development and implementation of our Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE) and Training programs across all operations in the UAE. The QHSE & Training Manager will bring strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and a passion for operational excellence.

QHSE Management :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QHSE policies and procedures in alignment with UAE regulations and international standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze safety reports and incident data to proactively identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, ensuring root causes are addressed through corrective and preventive actions.

Documentation & Reporting :

  • Prepare and present regular QHSE performance and training reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all training activities, certifications, audits, and compliance records.
  • Assess the QHSE performance of suppliers and contractors , ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of QHSE and training professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Align QHSE and training strategies with overall operational and business objectives to support organizational growth and efficiency.

Compliance Management :

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental laws and regulations and stay informed and responsive to changes in local and international standards

Training & Development :

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs focused on safety, quality, and environmental best practices, tailored to operational needs.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and recommend targeted learning interventions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, performance metrics, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in QHSE, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a strong advantage.
  • 7-12 years of progressive experience in QHSE roles, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, infrastructure, or construction environments, with a strong understanding of industry-specific challenges.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 (formerly OHSAS 18001), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, managing, and delivering QHSE training programs across diverse operational settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as international QHSE standards and best practices.
