Job description

We are seeking a QHSE Manager for one of the leading Contractors in the UAE. We are seeking somoene who has work in an ISO certified contractor delaing with mega commerical building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and Implementing QHSE Strategies: Creating and executing comprehensive QHSE strategies and plans aligned with the company's overall objectives and ensuring they are effectively communicated and implemented across all departments.
  • Managing QHSE Systems: Overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of QHSE management systems, including quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), health and safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001), and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring the company complies with all relevant QHSE laws, regulations, and industry standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Promoting a QHSE Culture: Fostering a positive and proactive QHSE culture across the organisation, encouraging employee participation and engagement in safety and quality initiatives.
  • Leading the QHSE Team: Providing leadership, guidance, and support to the QHSE team, ensuring they have the resources and training necessary to effectively carry out their duties.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor QHSE performance, reporting on progress to senior management, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Incident Investigation and Prevention: Leading or overseeing investigations into QHSE incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Auditing and Inspections: Conducting regular QHSE audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement, working with internal and external auditors.
  • Training and Development: Developing and delivering QHSE training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their roles safely and effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Representing the company in QHSE-related matters with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customers, and suppliers.
  • Budget Management: Managing the QHSE department's budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support the company's QHSE objectives.
