To coordinate and implement the Company’s Asphalt Plant Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and procedures across the Roads & Infrastructure projects. The QHSE Coordinator ensures project compliance with local regulations, contractual obligations, and international standards, supporting a safe, sustainable, and high-quality work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure implementation of QHSE policies, procedures, and systems across all projects.
- Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and site walk-throughs, and report findings with corrective action plans.
- Support the preparation and submission of QHSE documents, including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), emergency response plans, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and site engineers to ensure safety protocols and quality standards are followed.
- Assist in conducting accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis, and ensure timely closure of NCRs and observations.
- Prepare Quality control procedures & documentation.
- Develop ITP, WIR, NCRs, and SORs
- Maintain all QHSE records, reports, and logs in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for site personnel and workers.
- Support environmental monitoring and ensure compliance with waste management, noise, dust, and water control requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits and assist in implementing continuous improvement plans.
- Act as a liaison with clients, consultants, and local authorities regarding QHSE matters.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of QHSE experience in roads and infrastructure projects within a main contracting environment in the UAE/GCC.
- Certification in NEBOSH IGC is mandatory; additional HSE/QMS certifications (ISO lead auditor, OSHA, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience in Asphalt Plant and wet mix plant will be an advantage
- Familiar with UAE safety regulations, local authority standards (e.g., ADM, RTA, DM), and QHSE best practices.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and QHSE documentation systems.
