Job summary

Skatch in Ajman, United Arab Emirates seeks a Quality Control (QC) Officer/Inspector to ensure garments meet required quality standards, approved samples, measurements, workmanship, and customer specifications throughout production.

You will perform in-line and final inspections, identify defects, monitor AQL, and coordinate with production to correct issues while maintaining quality records to minimize rework and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in garment/textile manufacturing QC.
• Good knowledge of garment construction and workmanship.
• Knowledge of AQL, measurements, defect identification, and inspection procedures.
• Good communication, reporting, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fabric, trims, and accessories before production.
• Check garment quality during cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing.
• Conduct in-line and final inspections and identify defects.
• Check garment measurements, stitching, construction, appearance, and workmanship.
• Ensure production follows approved samples, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify and report defects of various severity.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments to correct quality issues.
• Conduct re-inspection after corrections and ensure defects are resolved.
• Maintain daily QC inspection reports, defect reports, and quality records.
• Conduct final inspection as per AQL/customer requirements before dispatch.
• Monitor rejection, rework, alteration, and recurring defects.
• Immediately report major quality issues to management.

Job Purpose

To ensure that garments meet the required quality standards, approved samples, measurements, workmanship, and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect fabric, trims, and accessories before production.
• Check garment quality during cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing.
• Conduct in-line and final inspections and identify defects.
• Check garment measurements, stitching, construction, appearance, and workmanship.
• Ensure production follows approved samples, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify and report critical, major, and minor defects.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments to correct quality issues.
• Conduct re-inspection after corrections and ensure defects are resolved.
• Maintain daily QC inspection reports, defect reports, and quality records.
• Conduct final inspection as per AQL/customer requirements before dispatch.
• Monitor rejection, rework, alteration, and recurring defects.
