- Oversee the Quality Control & Assurance department, ensuring 24/7 operational support through effective manpower planning.
- Ensure compliance with Barakat’s Food Safety & Quality Management Systems, as well as relevant local and international regulations.
- Maintain consistent quality standards across factory and office operations.
- Identify system gaps, report findings, and track corrective actions with stakeholders and management.
- Enforce IPO (Input-Process-Output) cycle protocols, including checks on raw materials, processes, sanitation, packaging, finished products, and storage.
- Ensure all new products and variants undergo QA testing and approval prior to market launch.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and internal audits for food safety and quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Postgraduate in Food Technology, Food Science, or Biotechnology.
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in Quality Control & Assurance within the food industry.
- Strong command of Food Safety & Quality Systems Management.
- Certified HACCP/ISO Lead or Internal Auditor.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and food industry regulations.
- Familiarity with local and international food safety regulations.
- Well-connected with government bodies and regulatory authorities.
