Role Overview:
We're currently looking for a skilled and experienced QC Material Receiving Inspector to oversee and ensure the quality of incoming materials for shipbuilding, offshore, and oil & gas EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse inspections, material certifications, and quality control documentation. This role involves coordination with project teams, clients, and warehouse staff to maintain compliance with technical standards and ensure timely, accurate material inspections.

  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions to maintain consistency and compliance.
  • Uphold information security and data protection standards to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials at the warehouse to verify conformity with technical specifications and project standards.
  • Perform joint inspections with client representatives and project teams as required.
  • Identify, document, and report any discrepancies or non-conformities during material inspections.
  • Coordinate with end-user departments to resolve material-related issues efficiently.
  • Support the testing and evaluation of new materials in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Oversee the material re-certification process and maintain quality control documentation.
  • Prepare shift handover notes, daily reports, and progress updates for supervisor review.
  • Monitor team attendance, manage overtime, and ensure efficient utilization of manpower.
  • Lead a team of inspectors, providing on-the-job training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and reduce operational costs.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of timely, accurate quality reports in alignment with company standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and quality management policies.



Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Piping, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory QC for Wearhouse and Laydown yard.
  • Background in mechanical or ship building.
  • Strong knowledge of material certification, quality systems, PO, and inspection standards.
  • Must have experience in supervising 10 to 15 staff.
  • Good command of English; familiarity with technical/marine terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
