al-majid seeks an experienced Quality Control Manager – Fit-Out to establish and monitor quality standards across interior fit-out projects in the UAE. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, ITPs, and client expectations, overseeing audits, inspections, and handover with a focus on luxury and high-end interiors.

The role demands a Bachelor’s in a related field and 20+ years of UAE experience, with strong coordination, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• +20 years of experience in interior fit-out projects.
• Strong UAE experience with consultant-led projects.
• Proven experience in high-end commercial, hospitality, retail, or residential fit-out.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
• Prepare, review, and implement ITPs, method statements, checklists, and quality procedures specific to fit-out works.
• Site Quality Control: conduct regular inspections to ensure works comply with drawings, specs, and samples.
• Monitor quality of joinery, finishes, flooring, ceilings, wall finishes, furniture, and MEP coordination.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals; manage NCRs, WIRs, MIRs, IRs, and snagging.
• Close out NCRs and punch lists within agreed timelines; supervise factory inspections if needed.
• Review material submittals and shop drawings from a quality perspective; assess subcontractor quality.

Job Purpose

The Quality Control Manager – Fit-Out is responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring quality standards across all interior fit-out projects, ensuring works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, authority requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP). Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements. Prepare, review, and implement ITPs, method statements, checklists, and quality procedures specific to fit-out works. Site Quality Control Conduct regular site inspections to ensure works comply with approved drawings, mock-ups,samples, and specifications. Monitor quality of joinery, finishes, flooring, ceilings, wall finishes, furniture, and MEPcoordination. Ensure proper implementation of approved materials and finishes. Inspections & Approvals Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals. Manage WIRs, MIRs, IRs, and snagging activities. Close out NCRs, observations, and punch lists within agreed timelines. Material & Subcontractor Control Review and approve material submittals, samples, and shop drawings from a quality perspective. Evaluate subcontractors’ quality performance and compliance. Ensure factory inspections for joinery and bespoke items, when required. Handover & Close-Out Ensure snag-free completion prior to handover. Coordinate final inspections, authority approvals, and as-built documentation. Support DLP management and post-handover quality issues. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and lessons learned. Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective actions. Train project teams on quality procedures and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management. +20 years of experience in interior fit-out projects. Strong UAE experience with consultant-led projects. Proven experience in high-end commercial, hospitality, retail, or residential fit-out.

Skills & Competencies

In-depth knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, workmanship standards, and tolerances. Strong understanding of QA/QC documentation and procedures. Excellent coordination and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, document control systems.

Requirements

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification. Experience with Grade A offices, luxury hospitality, or bespoke joinery projects. Immediate availability.
