Responsibilities

- ResponsibilitiesQuality Control specifications setting and updating.
- Testing and maintenance of records as per relevant standard namely IS / IS .
- Manufacturing instructions review, update and production monitoring.
- To manage the Quality Control Department & provide guidance to ensure that products manufactured meets their objectives with respect to Quality & they are in line with standard Q.C Specifications & Product literature.
- To liaise with the Production Department on issues relating to QA & Production QC
- Provide technical input on day to day Quality Control issues & examine variations in Product Quality.
- Shelf life re-validation.
- Calibration and maintenance of labs equipment and devices.
- Certificates generation (COA, COC, .. etc.)
- New colours creation meeting customer requirements.
- Action planning and scheduling for QC lab crew, and QC procedures.
- Analysis and develop formulations for cost reduction and performance improvement.
- Implementation for general development plans set by development manager.
- Long term analysis of QC data.
- Implementation of Quality Review Group actions.
- Conduct investigations and lab tests to determine the justification of the complaints.
- Define corrective / preventive actions for justified complaints
- Attend supplier Meetings.
- Training of subordinates.
- Implementation of 5S and ISO : in routine activities.
- To follow the technical manual procedure for QC department to ensure compliance with ISO .
- Analyse trends in QC results, recommending and implementing procedures to ensure future compliance.
- Analyse formulations from a quality perspective, identifying key RMs that have potential to cause problems if incorrectly dosed. Ensure that procedures are in place such that these identified RMs are correctly added in production.
- Evaluate alternative sources for raw materials and factored products.
- Adhere to safety procedures in-line with the companys HSE policy.
- Maintain appropriate records of the above work in laboratory note- book.
- Generate technical reports on development work as required.
- Ensure traceability of all technical work undertaken.
Qualifications
- Educational requirements: Chemistry Graduate
- Skills required: Good communication skills at various levels
- Good level of computer use in MS Office.
- Previous experience, knowledge in testing of construction chemicals.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment
