Job summary

TalentOne is seeking a Civil QC Inspector to monitor civil, structural and architectural construction at a UAE project site. You will ensure compliance with drawings, ITPs, codes, and client requirements across foundations, earthworks, roads, and steel erection.

The role requires seven years of Civil QC experience in oil & gas or petrochemical environments, with strong English communication and ability to work independently on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum seven years of experience as a Civil QC Inspector.
• Relevant inspection experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Previous experience working with a major EPC contractor or its subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction activities, inspection procedures, ITPs, method statements, and quality documentation.
• Ability to interpret civil, structural, architectural, grading, foundation, and plot-plan drawings.
• Good understanding of concrete inspection, earthworks, underground services, structural steel, roads, and building works.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently at a project or construction site.

Responsibilities

• Inspect civil, structural, and architectural works per drawings, specifications, ITPs, and QC procedures.
• Monitor reinforced concrete structures, building works, roads, trenches, and earthworks.
• Verify compliance with drawings, foundation layouts, grading plans and plot plans.
• Conduct quality inspections for concrete, earthworks, underground services and structural steel.
• Inspect foundations for vessels and heavy equipment.
• Monitor excavation, backfilling and compaction activities.
• Inspect electrical and instrumentation duct banks, manholes and underground facilities.
• Witness field-density tests, soil-compaction tests, and concrete tests.
• Verify reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, concrete quality and curing.
• Perform survey checks for location, level, verticality and alignment.
• Coordinate inspections with construction teams, subcontractors and client reps.
• Monitor site housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Support quality audits and project handover activities.

JobSummary

TheCivil QC Inspector will monitor and inspect civil, structural, andarchitectural construction activities to ensure compliance with approvedproject specifications, drawings, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), applicablecodes, quality procedures, and client requirements.

Therole covers reinforced concrete structures, equipment foundations, buildings,earthworks, roads and pavements, underground utilities, drainage systems,trenches, grouting, and structural steel erection.

KeyResponsibilities

• Inspectcivil, structural, and architectural works in accordance with approveddrawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and quality-controlprocedures.
  
• Monitorminor and major reinforced cement concrete structures, building works,asphalt roads, pavements, cable and pipe trenches, drainage systems,earthworks, tank foundations, sumps, pits, grouting, and structural steelerection.
  
• Verifycompliance with general arrangement drawings, civil and architecturaldrawings, foundation layouts, grading plans, sectional details, buildingdrawings, and plot plans.
  
• Conductquality inspections for concrete works, earthworks, architectural works,underground services, grouting, and structural steel activities.
  
• Inspectfoundations for horizontal and vertical vessels, heat exchangers,turbines, boilers, compressors, buildings, and other heavy equipment.
  
• Monitorexcavation, backfilling, and compaction activities, includinglayer-by-layer sand bedding for cables, pipes, and underground services.
  
• Inspectelectrical and instrumentation duct banks, manholes, undergroundfacilities, and foundations for piping and E&I installations.
  
• Witnessfield-density tests, soil-compaction tests, fresh-concrete tests,hardened-concrete tests, and other laboratory or field tests.
  
• Verifyreinforcement, formwork, embedded items, concrete quality, placement,curing, waterproofing, and protective treatment for below-groundstructures.
  
• Performrandom survey checks using appropriate instruments to verify the location,level, elevation, verticality, alignment, and dimensions of structures andutilities.
  
• Inspectculverts, roads, railway-related civil works, buildings, conduits,plumbing, sewage systems, sumps, and foundations during and afterconstruction.
  
• Monitor theinstallation of plumbing systems, equipment, fixtures, and associatedservices to ensure compliance with approved requirements.
  
• Ensureconstruction activities comply with relevant building codes, approvedspecifications, safety requirements, signs, and markings.
  
• Identifynon-conforming work, report quality deviations, and monitor theimplementation of corrective actions.
  
• Prepare andmaintain inspection reports, checklists, test records, and other requiredquality documentation.
  
• Coordinateinspections with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, clientrepresentatives, and third-party inspection agencies.
  
• Monitorsite housekeeping, sanitation, waste disposal, and general cleanlinesswhere these form part of the civil inspection scope.
  
• Supportquality audits, project handover activities, punch-list clearance, andfinal documentation closeout.
  

Requirements

• Relevantcivil QA/QC certification or previous client approval would beadvantageous.
